Our Power

Power Delivery

Minnkota is committed to transmitting safe, reliable and environmentally responsible electricity through its power delivery resources. The cooperative operates and maintains a robust set of electric transmission infrastructure, including more than 3,340 miles of transmission line and 252 substations.

The entire process is monitored and controlled from our Energy Control Center. From here, power system operators oversee the delivery of electricity on the grid 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. With these operations, Minnkota is dedicated to meeting all applicable environmental and reliability requirements, including standards from the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and the Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO).
